SAPIEN Technologies prepping new tool releases
SAPIEN Technologies has apparently been busy, and are now prepping three new tools for beta testing - on top of the free PrimalForms GUI builder I blogged about earlier.
PrimalSQL 2009 appears to draw upon the SQL query builder in PrimalScript 2007 Enterprise, adding additional features to make it a standalone querying tool for any database platform that relies on ANSI-standard SQL.
ChangeVue 2009 appears to be a source control solution - simple to implement, although it will scale out to large workgroups by means of a server edition. This is nice - with the death of Microsoft’s Visual SourceSafe, there’s been a dearth of simple, easy-to-implement change control tools for individuals and small workgroups. I’d imagine that ChangeVue will be compatible with PrimalScript for integrated check-in and check-out.
PrimalMerge 2009 is a file comparison tool that highlights differences between files, allows live editing to files under comparison, and looks to be a super-souped-up version of the PrimalDiff functionality included in PrimalScript 2009.
Details on becoming a beta tester are posted on SAPIEN’s blog.
